Yeah, you guys rock me with all your talent and stuff. Happy 10th birthday, DA. Home of the eye of the world. Thanks to all who work hard at Deviantart to make things faster and better and more fun. I appreciate the hard work put in. Heroic efforts! Up art! Don't forget to be at peace.

This fluorite speciman is from China; is sea green/blue in daylight, mysterious at dusk, has a small purple area enclosed in blue, and is a wonderful example of the cubic crystal structure of fluorite. It is called "the most colorful gemstone in the world".

Hi, good to see you on one of your rare visits. Is tourmaline a fluorite? Oh, wait, tourmaline has a hexagonal crystal. Forget that I asked such a hasty and thoughtless question. I'll have to check out fluorite on the 'net. How did you find this one, Susaye?

No problem,no harm done. I got this one from an after- Christmas sale at JTV; only about 14 dollars, which I thought was extremely reasonable!

Wow. More than reasonable. Incredible. Mineral specimens are some of the most precious and beautiful non-human things in the world. Some humans outshine them though. :)

What a beautiful piece. I'm a rock hound myself. Fluorite is one of my favorites. It has so many colors.

Thank you. I can't help it; I've been a rockhound since I was young but it's only the past few years I've been obsessed with the knowledge. Reading, reading, reading. So much to learn and see. It's hard not to be one, once you get the bug. Fluorite is one of mine too.

There's a cool store here in Kingsport. If you find a rock you like, they can make it into a piece of jewelry for you. I have a necklace made of a huge piece of raw opal, my birthstone.
