the rules....the level of the game can never be the same..........
rough and raw, shock and awe, win lose or draw, life's just a beat.
I had a wonderful time at the chat. Thanks to everyone for saying hello and sharing the fun! I've been on the phone all day; I have so many relatives in Houston (I was born there) and they're all on the move or sitting tight. I keep praying everyone down there will be safe and we won't have another tragic situation on our hands. I'm always torn when real life stands up. That's one of the difficulties of being an entertainer. You know you've made a commitment and yet there are things going on in the world around you that are so much more serious. When 9/11 happened, I thought I might never sing again. But people need music and hearts need lightening. I know mine does.
I will be performing in concert Friday, September 23rd at The Gardenia Nightclub in Hollywood, CA! I'm pretty excited. I've been rehearsing like mad for a while; I'm previewing new material and taping the whole thing so if any of you are in L.A. tomorrow night and have the opportunity please come say hello!
Wish me luck!

I think these days we need music even more than usual. Music has power that's hard to match. So sing on, girl!
You are a beautiful person, so giving, so caring.
Anyway, I really hope that all of your family are and remain safe.
Take care
